Town suffered their second heavy defeat of the Easter period as Swansea ran out comfortable 4-1 winners at the Liberty Stadium. Fabio Borini put the home side in front on nine, Luke Moore adding the second before Colin Healy pulled one back for the Blues. Borini netted his second before the break and Scott Sinclair completed the scoring with a second half penalty.

Skipper David Norris was Town’s saviour once again as his extra time goal saw the Blues to a 1-0 Carling Cup victory over Crewe at Gresty Road. Norris struck in the 102nd minute to put Roy Keane’s side into the third round.

Midfielder Sammy Moore is set to join Stevenage Borough on loan for the remainder of the season. Moore was told he is free to leave the Blues last week with his contract up in the summer.

Cork City manager Alan Mathews says Town have told midfielder George O'Callaghan that he can find a new club. Cork, from whom O'Callaghan joined Town a year ago, are one of a number of clubs on both sides of the Irish Sea interested in the 28-year-old.

England U20s coach Les Reed has said that he may call 16-year-old Town striker Dean Bowditch into his squad for the World Youth Championships later this year. The tournament was scheduled to be played in March in the United Arab Emirates but was postponed due to security fears.
